DAZZ: Music
Shoes
(DAZZ)
Straight to the edge …
I look down
Danger in sight …
No one around
Could you make it one day if you walked in my shoes
Hunger pains strike …
I got nothing to loose
And if I make it through another day
I’ll search for hope and happiness along the way
These city streets …
get so cold
Cementing the conflicts
of the young and very old
Could I make it one day if I walked in their shoes?
Why must our people pay these unnecessary dues?
And as they make it through another day
I’ll wish them hope and happiness along the way
How can we close our hearts … and turn away
When eighty bucks feeds forty people dinner on a given holiday
And little ones wish they had a pair of shoes
This homeless and hungry battle we can’t afford to loose!
So as you make it through another day
I’ll wish you hope and happiness along the way
Fight the battle today …
